RELEASING THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IN 2010

On New Years Day Jackson County Prayer and a group of pray-ers met at the Justice Building in Medford . We gathered at the seat of government to pray over Jackson County and the Rogue
Valley. The Lord instructed us to march around the building seven times as Joshua marched around the walls of Jericho.
The scripture given was Joshua 1:3: Every place which the sole of your foot shall tread, that have I given you. Be strong and of good courage for you shall cause this people to inherit the land. Be not afraid or dismayed for the Lord is with you wherever you go.

We lined up and the Lion of Judah flag led the procession, with the American flag taking up the rear guard. As we marched around in silence we were instructed to watch and pray and see what God was doing. When we completed the seventh time we all gathered and Josh. 6:15 was read; and the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, Shout! For the Lord has given you the city.”
So we all shouted with a loud voice and said, “We take Medford and the Rogue Valley for the Kingdom of God, for the Lord has given it to His people.” We then worshipped and praised the Lord. I then asked if anyone saw or perceived anything while we were walking around the building. One person saw a rainbow, another one saw the sun break through the clouds, and got The Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in His Wings; they also heard the chimes coming from a nearby church. They were like freedom ringing as clear as a bell.

At that time we began to declare the Walls of Resistance that held back the advancement of the Kingdom of God were coming down and being destroyed.
Some of the walls were the Jezebel spirit, Religion, Independence , sexual immorality & Porn, Apathy, Lethargy and Complacency, unfaithfulness and Non commitment.

Then we began making prophetic declarations for God to establish His reign:
We declared that God is beginning to release signs, wonders & miracles in a new way in this Valley, that the 7 Mountains of influence will be impacted and transformed for the Kingdom of God in the Valley, that God is restoring and raising up the fullness of the 5 fold ministry, that God is opening a portal over this region, and Revival will breakthrough in the Valley that will continue perpetually.

Other topics that were prayed for were: Government, Pastors & Spiritual Leaders, Harvest, The Body of Christ, Restoration, Families, Schools/Youth & Children. A prophetic word was read from Chuck Pierce that 2010 was a year of Digging New Wells. As a prophetic act we dug a small hole in the ground for the new wells we will be digging in our spiritual lives this year.
Then we poured anointing oil upon it. The oil was named “Spring up O Well” from Numb. 21:16-17. We then sang Spring Up O Well. We ended by anointing each person and praying that the oil of joy will spring up within them and that they will dig new wells in 2010 for their future.

I believe this prayer gathering was very significant. I sense that some barriers that held us back from advancing the work of God in this region have been broken, and that the Lord is opening new doors and opportunities and is giving us new favor with key people, so we can step out and “take our city for God.” Let’s be like Joshua and Caleb and say fear not, for we are well able to take this city for God; let us go up and possess it.
