A Vision of a demonic principality in our region

I'm sending this out for you all to pray over.  It's a vision I had on Feb 13.

VISION 021310 SATURDAY AFTER NOON

I’m writing this out now 03/13/10:

I had just finished going out with Betty Denny to pray for the remaining Marketplace area. As we talked about the problem of unity, the possible reasons why it so difficult to get people to pray for our area as a group & why aren't we seeing breakthrough, I received a picture/vision of an insect. It was large & black with angled legs & what appeared to be multi antenna lashing around it & very large eyes, I don’t remember whether it had a stinger or not. It feels like it does as I now try to remember it, but maybe not. I told Betty what I saw & we both felt it was a demonic principality over our region interfering with the valleys intercession. As we talked I did get its name PRAYING MANTIS. I mentioned it to Marilyn H. while we were at church one Sunday & she said she had also seen it.

After looking all this stuff up I’m quite sure the Lord gave me this vision so that I can share it with other intercessors. The Lord will give us a strategy to bring it down. A synopsis of the internet material is at the end.

So what do I get from all this research?  We have a demonic principality over our area that is a Praying Prophet (mantis). It is predatory & conceals itself through camouflage. It hunts through vision; it is a “seer”. It has wings, can fly & will engage in cannibalism. It is able to turn black after a fire to blend in with the terrain. It bites.

Sounds pretty nasty doesn’t it. Well it is now known. Please let me know if any of you get intercessory strategies on how to bring this thing down & I'll post them to the group.

This is a synopsis of the material I collected from dictionaries & encyclopedias on the internet:

The PRAYING MANTIS is a large greenish-brown predatory insect with long forelegs that are raised & folded at rest, as if in prayer. The common term mantis is also from the Greek word‚ for prophet. This is from another on-line dictionary: DEFINITION: Prophetic: relating to or having power of divination or prophecy. Mid 19^th Century. Greek mantikos < mantis prophet < mainesthai to rage.
The Mantis are related to termites & cockroaches.  They have two grasping, spiked forelegs ("raptorial legs") in which prey items are caught and held securely. The head is also remarkably flexible, permitting nearly 300 degrees of movement in some species, allowing for a great range of vision (their compound eyes have a large binocular field of vision) without having to move the remainder of the body. Their hunting relies heavily on vision. They have wings & can fly. Mantises are exclusively predatory & most species of mantis are known to engage in cannibalism. Mantises are masters of camouflage and most species make use of protective coloration to blend in. Not only do they blend with the foliage, but mimic it, appearing as either living or withered leaves, sticks, tree bark, blades of grass, flowers, or even stones. Some species in Africa and Australia are able to turn black after a molt following a fire in the region to blend in with the fire ravaged landscape (fire melanism). While mantises can bite, they have no venom.
