From Betty Denny about the Rogue

The Lord led me to do a study on the meaning of Rogue, and I was reminded of the strategies of how to pray in the opposite spirit. 
DEFINITION OF ROGUE

Rogue: 1. a dishonest, knavish person: scoundrel. 2. a playfully mischievous person; scamp: 3. a tramp or vagabond. 6. to live or act as a rogue. 7. to cheat. 8. to uproot or destroy (plants etc., that do not conform to a desired standard). 11. no longer obedient, belonging or accepted and hence not controllable or answerable: deviating, renegade.
Syn. Villain, trickster, swindler, cheat, mountebank, quack. See knave.
Knave: 1. an unprincipled, untrustworthy, or dishonest person. 3.archaic
A man of humble position.
Syn. Blackguard, villain, scamp, scapegrace.
Knave, Rascal, Rogue, Scoundrel are disparaging terms applied to persons considered base, dishonest, or worthless. KNAVE, which formerly meant merely a boy or servant, in modern use emphasizes baseness of nature and intention: a dishonest and swindling knave. RASCAL suggests shrewdness and trickery in dishonesty:
A ROGUE is a worthless fellow who sometimes preys extensively upon the community by fraud:
RASCAL and ROGUE are often used affectionately or humorously, but
KNAVE and SCOUNDREL are not.
ANTONYM: HERO
The above are all terms, meanings and synonyms for Rogue. We can see
that the archaic word for Knave was simply a man of humble position, hence we can pray the original meaning of the word, and pray in the opposite spirit.
Here are a few suggestions for us as we pray.
*Pray in the restoration, the way God wants it to be. Pray the opposite of evil, and pray in the good (the redemption).
Lord, we pray over the Rogue Valley that the attitudes, strongholds and influence of the name rogue would be turned around for the glory of God.
We pray for the people of this Valley that they would be changed and impacted by the Holy Spirit: We pray and call forth a spirit of humility, honesty, trustworthiness, obedience, truth, honor, self esteem, a servant spirit.
We come against the Poverty mentality in this Valley and we pray in a Prosperity mentality, richness in abundant life, faith in God & His word, Self confidence and self sufficiency in Christ¢s sufficiency.
We pray that the people of this Valley will not be greedy of gain, and underhandedness, but would live in unity in the community, helping and giving to one another.
We pray for the homeless and vagrants that come to this Valley, that they would be impacted by the Holy Spirit
and be restored to the Father and become the honorable, honest trustworthy and self sufficient people in Christ, that their lives would be turned around and they would arise to the highest potential of what God has called them to be.
We pray that they would rise up from the "Ashes" and be Heroes of the Faith.
